As far as I know there are very few Australian nature study resources neatly packaged and useable for the Australian student. Most are written from a Northern Hemisphere perspective. So we put together The Wonderland of Nature Journal.
This CD has 3 parts:
Each discovery sheet includes the essential observations of nature study, spaces for writing and nature sketching and simple suggestions and ideas to discuss on the topic, which you can adapt to the environment you are observing. Our goal is to help children develop the habit of observing the environment, recording and interpreting what is seen and felt. For the most part there are no right and wrong answers, as these are not revision worksheets, but rather aids to exploration and consolidation of the material covered in The Wonderland of Nature. Used weekly this resource will cover one year of primary science.
Nature Journaling with Kids was written to give you some practical ideas about nature journaling and nature study in an Australian environment. This ebook is part of with The Wonderland of Nature Journal or can be purchased separately.
